Cuban farmers, the humble “guajiros” or “campesinos” of the countryside, have been mixing rum with ingredients provided by the land for hundreds of years. The Saoco is one such drink. A tall, built drink consisting of just rum and coconut water (and maybe a little lime juice if you want). Just grab your machete and crack open that coconut. Of course if you left your machete at home then just head over to your nearest grocery store and pick up some bottled coconut water. Buen provecho!
